Tennis in the School Initiative

The Tennis in the School Initiative, directed by the BLTA and sponsored by ACE, is run at the school premises or on nearby tennis facilities. Qualified tennis coaches will work with Physical Education teachers in the school system to present the fundamentals of the game, racquet and ball control skills and fun tennis games. The highlight of the Tennis in the School Initiative is the Interschool Doubles Tennis Tournament held annually each February/March.

Many schools currently participating in the Tennis in the School Initiative are now establishing their own Tennis Clubs. We look forward to this Club programme becoming the foundation of an active Interschool Tennis competition run throughout the academic calendar.
