Bermuda Clay Court Championships Finals

 

In the Men's final Sam Butler upset number 1 seed  Gavin Manders by defeating him 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the Bermuda Clay Court Championships final at Coral Beach and Tennis Club.

Butler,  reversed the result of last months  Bacardi/Martini Cup at Pomander Gate in which he lost to Manders. Butler this time came from behind to clinch a hard-fought match.

The 32-year-old clawed his way back into the final after losing a grueling first set and then took control of the match in sets 2 and 3. This is the first title of Butler's 2017 tennis season.

 

In the Women's final, Ashley Brooks also came from behind after losing the first set to Venezuelan player Erica Bove. 4-6.  Ashely showed grit and determination as she fought back to claim the next 2 sets and take the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. In doing so

Ashley captures her 3rd consecutive Bermuda Clay Court Championships title.
